Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port has been committed for many years now to a process of continual improvement of its activities founded on actively listening to all its stakeholders and on taking their needs into account.

As of 1st April, Morgane Chopin has become the Port Authority’s new Marketing Director. She succeeds Jean-Baptiste Goüin in the post.

The Anna, arriving from Izmir in Turkey, called in at Nantes at the end of April with a consignment of 18 wind turbine blades for delivery to an onshore wind farm located near Angers, in the Department of Maine-et-Loire.

On a site located within the port area, at Rue des Evens, in Montoir de Bretagne, the Semi-Public Company SYDELA Énergie 44, working in partnership with PROVIRIDIS, is building a public-access filling station for the supply of NGV (Natural Gas for Vehicles), a clean, low-carbon-footprint fuel.

The activities relating to the installation of offshore wind turbines at the Banc de Guérande wind farm sited off Saint Nazaire are intensifying as the weeks go by, and should see rapid expansion as of May. Several port-based logistics operations are scheduled to take place in the course of April.

The Smooth Ports Interreg Project is entering its fourth semester. The aim of the project is to reduce road transport emissions in the port environment by making use of three levers: alternative fuels, regulatory procedures and digital technology.
