Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port Accompanies a Regional Mission to Brussels
On 1st April, a mission led by Claire Hugues, Vice-Chair of Pays de la Loire Regional Council, was welcomed by the French Representation to the European Union. Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port and the main industrial project developers involved in the construction of the Loire Estuary low-carbon energy hub joined in this visit.
Yasmine Brossaud Prin, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port’s Financial Director, was a contributor to the panel discussion on "The Challenges of Energy Transition for Ports", alongside representatives from the European Commission (DG Energy and DG Transport), ESPO, SEA EUROPE and NATRAN. Yasmine Brossaud Prin spoke of the key role played by ports in European energy security and in Europe’s energy and industrial transition. She also presented the forward dynamic to be found in Saint Nazaire, as illustrated by the Éole and Loire Estuary Decarbonization projects, which are fully in line with these objectives.
The initiators of the GOCO2, Green Coast and Take Kair projects took part alongside representatives of the European Institutions in the second panel discussion dedicated to the levers for ramping up the process of decarbonization.
