Tour of Irish Port Installations
From 6th to 8th June, a delegation from Greater Western France led by Olivier Trétout, Chair of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port’s Management Board, Christophe Chabert, Chair of the Management Board of the Port of Brest, and Marie Lecuit-Proust, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Brittany Regional Authority, paid a visit to Ireland to see the infrastructures of the Ports of Cork, Rosslare and Shannon.
This trip followed on from the visit last May by an Irish delegation during the FOWT Conference held at the International Convention Centre in Nantes. A group of Irish business leaders led by Eamon Ryan, the Republic of Ireland’s Minister for the Environment, Climate, Energy and Transport, thereby had the chance to discover the port facilities at Montoir de Bretagne and in Saint Nazaire.
The discussions focussed mainly on the collaborative efforts of European ports with a view to developing floating wind power.
