The Ports and Maritime Unions Meet in Marseille

On 29th September, France’s National Ports and Maritime Union gathered together its members in Metropolitan France and in the Overseas Departments and Territories so that they could share their goals and ambitions, and that they could develop common synergies.

The points on the agenda notably included the growth potentials of the different Port Communities, the need for the Maritime Unions to increase their political influence, recruitment problems, and training requirements. The efforts to coordinate and to harmonize ambitions of the Port Communities involved are expected to be an area of focus.
