Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port Takes Part in the BlueDay Event

On 23rd May, at the Digital SPi coworking space in Saint Nazaire, the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique Brittany-Atlantic Region Maritime Cluster, in partnership with S2E2 and SMILE ‒ Smart Ideas to Link Energies, held a BlueDay event on the theme "Renewable Energy and Smart Grids in Port Activity Zones". This event has been awarded the " Springtime for Innovation" label by Pays de la Loire Regional Authority.

The programme of the event opened with a plenary conference on the vision of port managers in relation to energy transition, at which Ludovic Bocquier, Head of the Energy Sector Business Unit, spoke about the actions being undertaken by Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port in that area.

There were two panel discussions: the first, in the morning, on the production of renewable energy in port activity zones and estuarine areas, and the second, in the afternoon, on smart grids in the port environment. The day was rounded off with a guided tour of the site of GEPS Techno’s Wavegem system in the Penhoët dock basin.
