Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port Contributes to "GreenShips & GreenPorts" BlueDay
On 4th October, at the École Centrale Engineering School in Nantes, the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique Brittany-Atlantic Region Maritime Cluster (PMBA), in partnership with the MEET2050 Institute, Corimer and ECN’s Cargo Cluster, held a BlueDay on the topic of "GreenShips & GreenPorts".
This day-long event offered the participants the opportunity to discuss the decarbonization of the marine industry sector, to stimulate networking between the different players, to work on their preliminary requirements for the launch of future projects, and to identify possible themes of collaboration.
Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port presented its decarbonization strategy at a round-table discussion focussing on Green Ports. In front of some 100 participants, Ludovic Bocquier, the Head of the Development Directorate’s Energy Business Unit, highlighted the ZIBaC (low-carbon industrial activity zone) dynamic and the benefits of MEET2050 (Maritime Economical and Environmental Transition) for the Port.
