It’s a Wrap for the Preliminary Consultation
After two months of meetings and exchanges with members of the public, the preliminary consultation phase of the Éole project, conducted with the guarantors of the French National Public Debate Commission (CNDP), came to an end on 23rd November.
Over 680 people attended these meetings. 14 meetings were held in total, and 195 questionnaires and 24 stakeholder booklets were handed out. The project video has been viewed more than 10 000 times.
What Happens Next?
The CNDP’s guarantors, Catherine Trebaol and Serge Quentin, now have until 23rd December to draw up a report on this consultation process and make their recommendations to the contracting authority, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port. This document will be available on the CNDP website and on the participez.eole.port.fr platform.
Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port will then have to specify and to share its undertakings before 23rd February 2025, initiating the ongoing consultation phase. This will be followed by the continuation of studies until the start, in 2026, of the public enquiry regarding a firm project.
