First Call by the FEMEX Service at Montoir
The vessel CMA CGM Montoir called at Montoir de Bretagne for the first time on 5th January, marking the launch of the FEMEX service by CMA CGM Group, a global player in maritime, land, air and logistics solutions. The service aims to boost trade between the Far East, the Mediterranean basin (especially Turkey) and Western France.
The FEMEX (Far East Mediterranean Express) service connects several key ports in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean every week. The main ports served include Piraeus (Greece), Istanbul, Gebze, Gemilk and Izmir (Turkey), Salerno (Italy), Tangiers (Morocco), Montoir de Bretagne, Felixstowe (Great Britain), Antwerp (Belgium), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Hamburg (Germany), and Malta.
This service will also make it possible to considerably improve the transit time outbound from Asian ports and to reduce the environmental impact of the transported cargo by offering a direct transhipment solution in Tangiers serving Montoir de Bretagne.
It will boost trade between these regions and improve maritime connectivity, an attractive option for companies looking to optimize their supply chains.
