Cardino: Simplified Access

Developed by Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port following the last Smart Port Hackathon in November 2022, a new mobile app will help to improve traffic flow in the industrial and port activity zone. Cardino is now available to companies to guide their users throughout the Port Authority area, from Nantes-Cheviré to Saint Nazaire.

Many industrial sites are very extensive and sometimes have several entrances. Others are located in areas subject to traffic restrictions and require vehicles to pass through a checkpoint. Some have special traffic regulations. A delivery driver or supplier who uses the wrong entrance or hesitates about which direction to take can quickly cause disruption in a zone through which several hundred vehicles pass every day.

Raised at Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port’s last Hackathon, this issue has now been resolved in the form of a digital solution developed in collaboration with Nantes-based firm Otonum. Cardino is a tool made available free of charge to companies based in the various port activity zones. It serves to guide and inform all the professionals using these areas and identified by the user companies. Discover Cardino!

Each company located in the Industrial-Port Zone (ZIP) can now integrate its data. A secure platform will allow to administer a «company page» to inform the different access points and useful information: logos, opening hours...  Webinars will be offered very soon to discover Cardino and why not list your company.
